Lizards are a proven bass-fishing favourite, offering a natural-looking profile and plenty of movement that can trigger aggressive strikes from bass all year round. Their elongated body, multiple appendages and lifelike action make them especially effective when bass are feeding around cover, structure or spawning areas.

Bass fishing lizards are incredibly versatile and can be rigged in several ways. Texas rigging is one of the most popular methods, allowing you to fish them weedless through grass, reeds, timber and heavy cover. They can also be used on Carolina rigs, weightless rigs and other presentations when you want a slower, more natural fall.

Lizards excel when worked slowly along the bottom, hopped over rocks, dragged through vegetation or allowed to fall naturally beside cover. Their legs and tail create subtle movement even with minimal rod action, making them an excellent choice when bass are pressured or feeding cautiously.

Available in a range of sizes, colours and profiles, lizards can imitate natural prey such as aquatic salamanders, small creatures and other forage that bass encounter around their habitat. Natural colours such as green pumpkin, watermelon and black are excellent starting points, while brighter colours can be deadly in stained or muddy water.
