Curly Tail Worms

Curly Tail Worms are a proven bass-fishing staple, combining the natural profile of a soft-plastic worm with a highly attractive, constantly moving tail. The curled tail creates plenty of vibration and water movement as it falls, swims or is worked along the bottom, helping bass locate the lure even in deeper or slightly stained water.

These versatile soft plastics can be rigged in several ways, making them suitable for a wide range of bass-fishing situations. Texas rig them for fishing heavy cover, use them on a Carolina rig to cover deeper water, or pair them with a suitable jighead for a more open-water presentation.

The curly tail really comes alive with even the slightest movement. Slow retrieves, gentle lifts and pauses can produce an enticing action when bass are feeding cautiously, while a faster retrieve can turn the worm into an effective swimming presentation.

Curly Tail Worms are particularly effective around weed beds, submerged structure, rocky areas, drop-offs and other locations where bass are likely to ambush prey. They are also an excellent choice when you want a simple, reliable bait that can be fished at different depths and speeds.

Whether you're a beginner learning the basics of soft-plastic fishing or an experienced bass angler looking for another proven presentation, Curly Tail Worms belong in every bass tackle box.

Perfect for:

  • Texas Rig
  • Carolina Rig
  • Jighead Rig
  • Weightless Rig
  • Swimming presentations
  • Fishing structure, weed beds and drop-offs

Tip: Don't be afraid to slow down. A curly tail worm worked patiently along the bottom with plenty of pauses can be deadly when bass are not actively chasing faster-moving lures.
